    Job Title: Marketing Manager

    The Internet Explorer product marketing team has an exciting opportunity for a passionate and senior social media and communications guru to build out scalable social media marketing programs which will significantly impact both consumer preference and business results for the Internet Explorer business. This position will be responsible for driving and implementing the social media marketing plan, ensuring strong integration with public relations and digital marketing disciplines, and fostering consistent collaboration and best practice sharing with Windows social media team. This position will also be responsible for building a marketing outreach and integration plan for key communities, such as the MVP community.

    The ideal person will be immersed in what it means to "live life online" through channels such as Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, blogs/forums, etc. This team member will stay up to date on latest social media developments, consumer behaviors and trends, identify current and future opportunities and develop business case, marketing plans and proposals for implementing social media solutions. This person is a strong collaborator and team player that can play a leadership role in a cross group/cross function, ambiguous environment.

    This team member will use social media technologies to listen, engage with, and intersect with consumers in the online and offline space. As part of this role, this person will participate in a cross discipline v-team and develop and execute programs in alignment with the overall marketing strategy. Key components will include:

    Re-ignite consumer’s excitement and preference for the Internet Explorer brand
    Drive engagement with and active usage of Internet Explorer 8 through social media channels
    Identify common factors/issues driving sentiment across traditional (PR) and social media channels
    Optimize plans/programs for highest ROI efforts, including key metrics that are clearly actionable

    The Internet Explorer team is looking for someone who is experienced and confident enough to take risks and deal with uncertainty while exhibiting caution when warranted. This person will use excellent presentation skills to regularly report to the executive team and evangelize Internet Explorer social media programs to other Microsoft marketing teams, becoming a subject matter expert in this digital domain.

    Position Requirements:
    7-10 years online marketing or communications experience with a strong focus on Web 2.0 technologies
    Must be an enthusiastic and avid social media junky
    Ability to generate ideas and work within minimal guidance
    A track record of excellent results supported by data driven metrics
    Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    Solid project management skills
    BA/BS required. MBA preferred

    Relationship Management:
